Michael Willis, Former Chairman of the Board at Scarab, Joins as CEO. Fernando Parra and Tom Tigh Lead Future Sales and Operational Success as Managing Partners of Western and Eastern Regions, Respectively.

Austin, Texas – January 28, 2010 – Scarab Consulting, www.consultscarab.com, a leading provider of technology driven solutions for litigation and eDiscovery, introduces the addition of three new members to the company’s management team: Michael Willis as CEO, Fernando Parra and Tom Tigh as Managing Partners of the company’s Western and Eastern Regions.

Having joined the company in May of 2009 as Chairman of the Board, Michael Willis, has been an integral part of the company’s growth and success for some time now. As CEO, Michael will take a more visible and definite role in the progress and management of the company.

Managing Partners, Fernando Parra and Tom Tigh will lead the sales and operational success of the company in their respective regions. As a new arrival to the organization, Tom Tigh will oversee the sales efforts and operations of the company’s East Coast region. Fernando Parra, who has been with the company for 5 years, will do the same for the Western Region. These individuals are tasked to ensure that the services Scarab provides, in their respective territories, are created and implemented according the company’s criteria of excellence.

With more than 35 years of industry experience serving various companies including Westaff, COMSYS, COREstaff, and Talent Tree, Willis is an entrepreneurial visionary who is best known for his contributions in developing the contingent staffing model. As a leader in the initiative to consolidate the staffing industry, Willis has participated in the acquisition and integration of more than 70 companies during his career. 

Willis joined Scarab Consulting as Chairman of the Board in May of 2009. His key responsibility in that role was to ensure the company's prosperity by collectively directing the company's affairs, while meeting the interests of its stakeholders. In his new role, as CEO, Willis will take on a more visible role in the management and leadership of the company and will continue to assist Scarab with challenges and issues relating to corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and corporate ethics.

More About Fernando Parra, Managing Partner for the Western Region
Fernando Parra is the Managing Partner for the Western Region of Scarab Consulting. As a longtime member of the Scarab family, he will continue to oversee the application and compliance of company policies and procedures. Fernando is responsible for complex project management, government contracts and operations for his region.

Fernando has been in the business of bringing custom solutions to clients for over 15 years and joined Scarab through the company’s acquisition of RLS/LIT Group in 2007. Previous to working at RLS he worked for NCR Corporation, building custom solutions for the financial and retail industry. It was at NCR Corporation where Fernando worked closely with relational databases, high end document imaging, transaction processing, and optical recognition technology to help clients with their customer interactions across all channels: online, mobile, kiosk, ATM and more.

Today, Fernando is relied upon by his clients as an expert to assist with managing electronically stored information, providing guidance with Early Case Assessment, ESI and production protocols. This expertise has proven invaluable for client preparation and consulting throughout the e-Discovery process. His long history of delivering defensible services and best practices to the legal industry coupled with his ability to manage the technology demands of complex projects across multiple states, locations and counsels makes him an invaluable resource to our clients. 

Fernando Parra has a background in accounting and business administration, having graduated from Loyola Marymount University and attended the Pepperdine School of Business MBA program in California.

More About Tom Tigh, Managing Partner for the Eastern Region
Tom Tigh is the Managing Partner for the Eastern Region of Scarab Consulting. He is an experienced consultative sales expert in litigation support techniques. He has guided litigation support service organizations to success through proven business development and leadership results. All Tom’s work is directed towards providing defensible services and best practices to the legal vertical market.

Tom started his legal career as a paralegal at a large NY law firm, moving thereafter to the service provider side of the industry. Since that time, Tom has continued to deliver outstanding customer value through innovative Litigation Support solutions. Tom has managed the discovery process in major lawsuits and provides insight to clients involved in high profile cases that involve e-discovery and ESI. His experience includes most production protocols, document retention techniques and records management practices, from paper, microfilm and fiche to e-files on PCs, the web and in the cloud.

Today, Tom is a testifying ESI expert in the legal industry with more than two decades of experience in information technology, all focused on providing services to the legal vertical market in litigation support, document review, and e-discovery methodologies. Tom consults both corporate and law firm clients on issues involving ESI, including defensible collection methodologies, optimized ESI processing & review workflows, and litigation contingency and readiness planning. He establishes project teams and solutions tailored to meet the unique requirements of his clients.

Tom has presented training seminars on ESI topics including FRCP, optimized ESI workflows with various approaches to Imaged vs. Native File Review and production methodologies. Tom has supported cases involving mergers & acquisition, antitrust, securities, environmental, patent infringement, products liability, as well as other general litigation.
